My Favorite Causes

http://www.dosomething.org/ Do Something is a site to help teens, just as their name suggests, DO SOMETHING. This is the site that inspired me to make this page in the first place. They have tons of ideas on how to make a difference in whatever cause you want to fight for. If you are a teenager this site is a must read.

http://hardbargain.org/ "Hard Bargain Association is a grassroots, non-profit organization located in a historic African American neighborhood in downtown Franklin, TN. We are about preservation, affordable housing, and community development."

http://www.atghope.org/ Against the Grain is a really amazing organization that helps men, women and children who have a history of abuse, addiction and "negative generational cycles" fulfill their God-given potential. I have personally worked with Against the Grain by being a reading buddy to underprivileged elementary school students. It was an experience that both challenged and changed me and one that I really enjoyed.

http://www.water.cc/ Living Water International is an organization that has married two extremely powerful things and is dedicated to bringing them to countries with people that need them. Find out what's going on at their site!

http://www.ijm.org/ International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that is doing some incredible things for people who have been victims of modern day slavers and sex traffickers.

http://www.heifer.org/ Heifer International is a super cool organization that buys animals for poverty stricken families so they can start a business and provide food for their children. When I was little my sisters and I decided to raise $500 to buy a cow. It was a really cool experience and one I remember very well. (But I don't really remember what I got for Christmas last year. Funny how that works, isn't it?)

http://www.compassion.com/ Compassion International is an organization that allows people to sponsor a child in a third world country. My little sisters are sponsoring a little girl in Uganda and they have so much enjoyed getting letters from her and knowing that they are making a difference in a little girl's life in another country.
