About
Hello there, and welcome to my corner of the internet.
My name is Paula Victoria Jones and (among many other things) I like to write. It is for that reason, I started this blog.
Here, I can say whatever I am thinking and people can chose, or not chose, to listen. Here, I don't feel like I am forcing anything on you (the way I often feel about facebook and twitter) and plus, I can use lovely templates and colors to make this place pretty. Tell me, who doesn't like pretty things?
I feel inclined to mention that I am by no means a "good" writer with anything outstanding to write about. I'm an nineteen year old girl who recently moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee to start a new chapter of life, complete with school, new friends and a crazy cat that lives in the apartment. Sure, I have opinions and some interesting experiences to tell you about, but all in all, this blog is going to be about an average life.
But then, it's not.
I may be just some girl with a laptop, but I have been given a chance to live my life in an incredible way. A full, beautiful way. And this blog is about my journey to find that life and live it up. I'm going to have fun with it and I hope you enjoy reading.
Naming the Blog
I have been planning this blog for some time now, and have always hit a road block every time it came to naming the darn thing. I came up with really lames ones that definitely make me cringe when I think of them ("The Compulsive Muser" for example), but finally decided on "This Full Beautiful Life" because of it's honesty. When I think about how I want to describe my life sixty years from now, I want to say it was full and beautiful.
I used to drive to Columbia on Mondays and Wednesdays and I would listen to lectures on C.S. Lewis during the empty fifty minutes. One Monday when I was contemplating names, the professor quoted John 10:10 which says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I come that they may have life, and have it to the full." After hearing it, the search for both a name and a blog description was over. Yes, it's cheesy in an, "eat pray love" sort of way, but I think I've come to be ok with that.
